Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Geno Smith has agreed to a two-year, $75 million contract extension with the franchise.
According to ESPN, the deal could be worth up to $85.5 million, with Smith earning $66.5 million in guaranteed money.
The Raiders traded a 2025 third-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks last month to acquire Smith, who is now signed through the 2027 season.
Smith clocked Seahawks records of 4,320 passing yards and a 70.1% completion rate in 2024, while also throwing 21 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 17 games.
The 34-year-old also became the fifth player since 1970 to set a franchise record in passing yards and join a new team the following season.
Smith's arrival in Las Vegas paves the way for a reunion with former Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, who took the Raiders job this offseason.
The Florida native received back-to-back Pro Bowl selections under Carroll in 2022 and 2023 after notching 7,906 passing yards and 50 touchdowns in 32 games.
Carroll described Smith as an “immediate fix” at the quarterback position; however, the 73-year-old is yet to rule out drafting a quarterback later this month.
